Loose Watercolor Roses

Hi, Everyone! It’s been a while since the last time I’ve posted here, I’ve been busy with school lately because I’m taking my major subjects already. Anyway, in this post, I’d like to share my first loose watercolor roses piece. πŸ™‚ (Note: My work is not as pretty as Jolypoa’s or Calligrafikas but I’m still trying to improve)

Materials used:

Paper: Canson watercolor paper (200 gsm, I bought this at National Bookstore)

Paint: Simbalion Watercolor

Brush: Scrivo number 6

Brush pen: Platinum medium tip brush pen (This is probably the cheapest brush pen in PH!! I bought this for just Php 35 Β at National Bookstore Vito Cruz, beside DLS-CSB.)

If you have any suggestions on how can I improve my work or how can I properly paint loose watercolor florals, feel free to comment! I would really appreciate it. πŸ™‚

I used Wonder Forest and Harmony Thoughts’ technique as a reference for this work, I’ll include the link of their tutorial below.

  1. The blue, yellow and purple were nice! πŸ˜€
I suck at watercolor so i can relate to works not being as pretty as you’d like them to be. 😦 my friend Jera (@inkblotsandpapercuts on Instagram) is a dab hand at watercolors; it’s in her videos where i learned how to paint my first watercolor flower πŸ™‚ and she entertains questions, too! πŸ˜€
